Successful edition E-bike Challenge and Fiets en Wandelbeurs
With 24,112 visitors, the E-bike Challenge and Fiets en Wandelbeurs had a successful edition in Jaarbeurs Utrecht.
On the exhibition floor, visitors found a wide range of electric bicycles, speed pedelecs, cycling and walking destinations, routes, information markets and outdoor items. Especially on Friday and Saturday, the aisles were very busy and the exhibitors had to answer a barrage of questions.
E-bike Challenge
Hall 4 and part of Hall 2 were the domain of E-bike Challenge, the largest indoor e-bike test event in the Benelux. On the large Shimano E-bike Track and Shimano Speed Pedelec Track, many thousands of test rides were made on the latest models of the brands present. The range was very diverse: from cool fat bikes to trendy e-city bikes, e-touring bikes with ‘super batteries’ and fast speed pedelecs. The sessions in the E-bike Theater were very popular; there was often a hedge of people around the theater because all the seats were occupied.
Theme country Poland
The eye-catcher at the Fiets en Wandelbeurs was the theme country Poland, which presented itself on the exhibition floor in a large, new stand. Cycling and walking experts from seven regions/provinces were ready to inform the many visitors about the cycling and walking options. A separate lecture room was also reserved for the theme country. Journalists, travel bloggers and Polish experts took visitors to the most beautiful Polish cycling and walking destinations.
Cycle Route of the Year 2024
Traditionally, the presentation of the trophy for the Cycle Route of the Year took place at the fair. This time a route in the Netherlands won the trophy; the Van Gogh Drenthe Cycle Routes. The famous painter once spent three months in this province. The routes introduce you to the beautiful primeval landscape that Van Gogh was inspired by. The jury was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of this cycle route.
Next year, the Fiets en Wandelbeurs and E-bike Challenge will again take place in Jaarbeurs Utrecht, on February 14, 15 and 16, 2025. However, the events will move to other halls, namely halls 7, 8 and 9. |
