The digital sky is the limit
Just a few weeks to go until the Fiets en Wandelbeurs Online Experience springs into life. As you would expect, (digital) stands form the basis for participating in the event. But there is much more besides.
Digital or actual, a Fair offers divergent opportunities to come into contact with the target group, as Nick Roodenburg sales manager of Hicle Events explains. “Think for example of the weeks leading up to the Fair, the period in which our promotion campaign is running at full throttle,” he says. “By placing an item in our newsletters you can reach 30,000 genuinely interested cyclists and hikers. And by posting messages via our social media links you can nurture your target group’s interest in destinations, routes or products.”
Presentations and workshops
Furthermore, there are also opportunities for promotion during the event. Nick: “Holding a workshop or making a presentation, can all contribute to the branding of a product or service. An inspiring account of a destination will get visitors thinking and bring them to visit the stand of that destination. A further benefit is that the presentations and digital stands can still be visited for two weeks after the event. Though exhibitors and presenters will no longer be on site.”
Own look & feel
With a few simple adaptations you can give your digital stand its own look and feel. But you can also go one step further with a number of partners (or regions) by opting for your own ‘space’, your own ‘sub-space’. “If you register with seven stands or more, you are allocated your own sub-space, which you can design to your own taste,” says Nick. “A country map with a route, a landscape, pictures of activities: the digital sky is the limit. In this way you can create an extra dimension to the visitor experience. We convert your design into an interactive display, thus enabling you to click through to the stands of your partners.”

Figures are feedback
Another advantage of a digital event is the ability to quantify or measure data. A special tool has been developed to analyse stand visits. Nick: “After the Fair is over, you can receive a report with data on the number of visitors to the stand, the duration of the visits, downloads of brochures, contact moments via the chat or (video)calls, and other actions undertaken. Visitors can also leave their contact details, which makes it easier to collect leads."
