Events postponed to May 2021

Due to the coronacrisis we were forced to make the decision to postpone our events from February to May 2021. Our new dates are:

Postponing our events was a big decision in a time full of uncertainty. We would like to elaborate on our decision more fully. One thing is clear: we are still ready to create amazing events in 2021. Cycling, hiking and e-bikes are more popular than ever.
 

“For a long time it looked like our events in February were a go”, says Theo Jorna, CEO of Hicle Events. “But because of the continuous high infection numbers since autumn, we had to change our plans. The expectation is that the holiday season and booking decision making will start later than usual due to the Covid-19 restrictions."
 

Survey Fiets en Wandelbeurs 

The results of our recent survey with Fiets en Wandelbeurs newsletter members showed support in postponing our events. Nick Roodenburg, salesmanager: “The majority of our newsletter members opt for an event in May. No less than 62% told us they want to visit the event in May; 27% wants to visit the event, but will await the developments and only a small minority of 11% does not want to go. These are hopeful results in these unusual times, and indicate that the interest to visit an 'offline' bicycle and hike event is still high. These percentages also match our yearly visitors surveys where we ask the question if visitors would like to revisit our event the next year.”

The majority (>80%) also indicates they will definitely go on holiday in 2021, where many have destinations such as their home country and other European destinations on their wishlist. Nick: “Our events will give exhibitors lots of opportunities to help the consumer pick their next cycle or hike destination, suitable outdoor material, or a new bicycle or e-bike.”

Of course we would like to invite you again to participate at our postponed events in 2021. Without our exhibitors there is no event; we need your participation to create amazing events again! The consumer is ready to go on outings in 2021. We see opportunities with this trend. Of course we will also do everything in our power to create a safe corona proof environment, that meets all the regulations and safety protocols.
