Fiets en Wandelbeurs and E-bike Challenge score with 2026 edition<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Utrecht, 15 February 2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 21st edition of the Fiets en Wandelbeurs in Utrecht attracted 24,628 enthusiastic cyclists and walkers last weekend, in combination with the E-bike Challenge. Across three halls at Jaarbeurs, visitors found a wide range of active holidays, routes, destinations, outdoor gear, bicycles, e-bikes and accessories.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday and Saturday in particular were busy in the aisles, with exhibitors fielding a barrage of questions. The theme of this edition was \u2018Switch your route\u2019, an invitation to step outside one\u2019s comfort zone, discover surprising routes and refresh the mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Destinations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In Hall 9, numerous European destinations presented their cycling and hiking offerings. Spain, France, Poland, the Czech Republic and Portugal were strongly represented on the exhibition floor. France also won an award with the route La Voie Bleue, which received the Hicle Cycle Route of the Year 2026 award. One of the notable newcomers was Cape Verde, which particularly highlighted the walking opportunities on the islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

100+ presentations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In six lecture rooms and on a workshop square on the exhibition floor, visitors could attend more than one hundred presentations: from cycling in the Isaan region of Thailand to pilgrimages to Santiago, Rome and Trondheim, walking on the Veluwe and preparing for a cycling holiday. Adventurer Tim Voors and Brigitte Ars, known for her bestseller \u2018The Wild Women\u2019s Trail. Adventurous Walks\u2019, were among the crowd-pullers. The presentations \u2018Bike and Train\u2019 and \u2018Travelling by Train to Your Walking Destination\u2019 were also popular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E-bike Challenge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hall 8 was dedicated to the E-bike Challenge, the largest e-bike test event in the Netherlands. On the large indoor test track of the E-bike Challenge, visitors had every opportunity to try out the latest models of e-bikes and speed pedelecs from more than twenty brands. An ideal opportunity for prospective buyers to find out which electric bike suits them best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
