Top edition for the Fiets en Wandelbeurs Utrecht and E-bike Xperience 2023

With a total of 26,594 visitors, the Fiets en Wandelbeurs and E-bike Xperience have had an extremely successful edition. Cycling and walking are more popular than ever, was the conclusion after three wonderful days at the fair.

After a three-year absence due to corona, the events were fully back on stage. Many cyclists and walkers were eager to experience another edition. This resulted in busy aisles and exhibitors who did not have time to take a break from the barrage of questions being fired at them. Destinations, stands with outdoor materials, the information markets: without exception they were well attended. Exhibitors also noticed that quite a few 'newcomers' attended the events, people who had never been on a cycling or walking holiday.

Theme country Germany

The theme country Germany presented itself at the Fiets en Wandelbeurs with large screens. Germany was in the spotlight all weekend. In the Germany stand you could fly over the most beautiful nature reserves in our eastern neighbors with VR glasses. There were also three days of lectures on cycling and walking in a separate Germany Room.

Lectures and Frank van Rijn

The living cycling legend and author Frank van Rijn was the main attraction at the more than 100 lectures that took place over three days. The Dutch cycling public had by no means forgotten 'Good old Frank'. Many other lectures were also well visited, all seats were occupied, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. The organization was therefore forced to disappoint a number of interested parties.

E-bike Xperience

The E-bike Xperience, thé e-bike test event in the Netherlands, took place at the same time as the Fiets en Wandelbeurs. On the large ®Bosch E-bike Test Track and ®Bosch Speedpedelec Test Track, potential buyers made many thousands of rides on e-bikes from dozens of brands. One of the attention grabbers at the Xperience was the eBike ABS system from Bosch, for which a separate test track was even set up.
