Successful 2024 edition in Ghent

Last weekend we had two successful days at Flanders Expo Ghent. We welcomed a total of 14,786 visitors for the Fiets en Wandelbeurs and E-bike Challenge combined.

For two days the aisles were filled with a genuinely interested audience. It remained lively on the exhibition floor until the end. A sign that cycling and walking remain popular among the Flemish. There was also an extensive lecture and workshop program, with a total of 81 presentations.

On the large indoor test track, visitors made thousands of test rides on the latest models of e-bikes and speed pedelecs from 16 brands. Consumers had a wide choice: from trendy city e-bikes to mountain e-bikes, and from folding e-bikes to e-bikes with 'super batteries' and speed pedelecs.

Traditionally, the trophy was presented at the fair to the winner of the Hiking Route of the Year election. This time the Venntrilogie in East Belgium, a route of 109 km through, according to the jury, 'overwhelming nature', won the prize.

We would like to thank our exhibitors, visitors and volunteers for coming to the Fair and the good atmosphere! And we hope to see you at the next edition of the Fiets en Wandelbeurs and E-bike Challenge, on March 1 and 2 2025, again in Flanders Expo Ghent.
