Preview new halls & summer 2024: let's go!

Summer has started and for many the holidays are just around the corner. We wish our exhibitors and relations a great holiday. And wherever that holiday takes place, don't forget our early booking discount that expires September 1, 2024.

nieuwe hallen en supernova

Preview new halls and Supernova at Jaarbeurs

Experienced exhibitors will certainly know halls 7, 8 and 9 of Jaarbeurs Utrecht. It is the new home base of the Fiets en Wandelbeurs and E-bike Challenge Netherlands, only about a hundred meters away from 'our' old halls. And both events are making considerable progress with this, was the general conclusion after a tour with the Hicle team. Halls 7, 8 and 9 have a more attractive design than their counterparts on the other side of the central hall. We can also use the lecture rooms of Supernova in Jaarbeurs, which look like shiny spaceships. Beam us up, Scotty! Of course, we will remain on our own planet and true to our content with presentations about cycling, walking and e-biking.

E-bikes: money is not an issue

With what motivation does the visitor come to the E-bike Challenge? Do they go for the lowest price or the best quality? Does money play a leading role or are the euros an important side issue? Our surveys from 2024 show that the average Challenge visitor is not a bargain hunter, but is willing to pay a lot for a suitable electric bicycle or speed pedelec. The average purchase price is €3,205 for E-bike Challenge Netherlands and €3,240 for E-bike Challenge Belgium. This makes the event very interesting for quality brands active on the Dutch and Belgian markets.

The Challenge goes outside, for those who want it

At the upcoming E-bike Challenge in Jaarbeurs Utrecht, exhibitors will occasionally see visitors with a test bike disappear through an outside door. Don't worry, they don't want to steal these bikes, but continue their way on the outdoor course of the event, in addition to the large indoor course. The outdoor course is located on a closed site, surrounded by Jaarbeurs buildings. Visitors who wish so can put an e-bike to the test in outside weather conditions and get some fresh air at the same time. A heat curtain at the outside door ensures that the cold stays out and the heat stays in.

How many visitors go on how many holidays?

People over fifty are a very important and attractive target group when it comes to (active) tourism. The children have left home and they have the time and financial resources to travel. And research by ABN AMRO shows, among others, that more and more people over 50 are opting for an active holiday. But how often does that target group actually pack their suitcases, backpack or bicycle bag to spend at least four nights elsewhere? Our surveys show that approximately two-thirds of Fiets en Wandelbeurs visitors will go on a cycling or walking holiday more than twice a year in 2024, and 15% even four times or more. So they don't have time to spend their days relaxing on the couch, they cycle or walk around the Netherlands, Europe or the world (AI image).
