Recap E-bike Challenge & Fiets en Wandelbeurs Belgium 2026

Veloci was one of the exhibitors of the E-bike Challenge Belgium

Thousands of enthusiastic cycling & outdoor fans flocked to the combined E-bike Challenge 2026 and Fiets en Wandelbeurs. In Hall 1 of Flanders Expo, everything revolved around discovering, experiencing, testing, and planning for the new season.

Visitors found inspiration in a diverse offering: from the latest models of electric bikes and speed pedelecs to active travel, destinations, and innovative outdoor gear. Plans for both long journeys and short getaways took shape right on the exhibition floor through conversations with exhibitors.

E-bike Challenge

The large indoor test track formed the beating heart of the E-bike Challenge. Here, visitors had every opportunity to put the latest e-bikes from a wide range of brands through their paces. From smooth city bikes and e-trekking bikes to powerful speed pedelecs, everything was ready to be tested and compared.

New routes and networks

More and more destinations are investing in new, high-quality routes and dense cycling networks that respond to the growing demand for active holidays. Even seasoned cyclists discovered plenty of new developments during the kickoff of the new cycling and hiking season.

Poland stood out prominently. The country not only presented new cycling routes but also impressed with shows by extreme stunt cyclist Krystian Herba. In addition, visitors could experience the Polish Green Velo in a 5D cinema using all their senses: seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, and even tasting. An experience that made the adventure tangible.

Workshops and lectures

Over two days, the fair ran at full speed with a programme of workshops and lectures spread. These were spread across three areas on the exhibition floor and in the SkyLounge. Visitors could learn bicycle repair or navigation using their smartphone, or simply dream away during stories about adventures along endless desert roads in Saudi Arabia.

Emerging European classics were also featured, such as La Voie Bleue, awarded Cycle Route of the Year 2026. New this year were the workshops at the Pilgrims’ Square, where iconic pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela, Rome, and Trondheim (the Saint Olav Way) took centre stage.
